Robe of Stars is excellent in an Equipment deck, since phasing out a creature and all Equipment attached to it will be quite a bit better than blinking it in the face of battlefield sweepers
Big Game Hunter Big Game Hunter can do a nice impression of a Nekrataal or Bone Shredder for just three mana, as it kills the big stuff

Now, Elves are good at being aggro anyway because there are so many lords you can play and theyre cheap as well, but the ability on Edric is what makes him so good
With this card charging in, opponents can either choose between containing a big 4/4 threat on the board or killing it and having to deal with two decent 2/2 creatures that double as strong convoke fodder
